Woolybooger is an anomaly. Gavin Graves walks around everyday minding his business, but when a guitar gets in his hands and a song gets in his soul, something magical happens.
When he was just a tiny booger at the age of 9 growing up in Andrews, he picked up the guitar, and has had a hard time putting it down since. His dad, and both grandfathers played music, and so did their fathers.
The music that trickled down to Wooly is a mix of their styles of country blues, honky tonk and piedmont picking. You’ll usually see him with The Loon, which is the renowned Christopher Blaylock, or with Mr. Ben Kitchens, both virtuosos in their own respects.
Ragtime licks, fiery blues and wild solos are sure to turn your head around.
